We are currently seeking an experienced Line Cook to join our growing kitchen team at The Original Pancake House. This role is essential to our operation as a breakfast-only restaurant, with shifts starting early in the morning at 6:30 AM and no evening hours, making it an ideal position for those who prefer morning schedules. Both part-time and full-time roles are available, providing flexibility and opportunities for career growth within a supportive and dynamic environment. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of breakfast dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality, freshness, and safety. You will work closely with other kitchen staff to maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to strict food safety guidelines and sanitation requirements.
In this role, you will be expected to inspect and clean food preparation areas, verify the freshness of ingredients, rotate stock effectively, and cook food in accordance with standardized recipes. Attention to detail is key to maintaining the quality and consistency of every dish served to our guests. Additionally, you will play an integral part in responding to customer and team feedback promptly and professionally, contributing to a positive dining experience and fostering a collaborative team atmosphere. Applicants must hold or be willing to obtain a Food Handler's card and are encouraged to have ServeSafe certification as well. Physical stamina is necessary, as you will be on your feet for extended periods and required to lift 30 pounds or more.

Job Requirements

Job Duties
- Inspect and clean food preparation areas such as equipment and work surfaces or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices
- Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock
- Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperature by regulating the temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters
- Season and cook food according to recipes
- Turn or stir foods to ensure even cooking
- Respond to guest and team feedback with appropriate urgency and professionalism
