Sizzler is currently seeking motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join their culinary team as Food Preparation Cooks. This role focuses on preparing and cooking meals that not only meet but exceed Sizzler's quality standards while ensuring guest satisfaction with every plate serving. Employees in this position will handle tasks ranging from washing and cutting vegetables, fruits, and meats to cooking seafood and poultry, as well as carefully following standardized recipes for portion control and consistency. The position requires a strong commitment to safety protocols and cleanliness, maintaining an organized kitchen environment throughout shifts.
This full-time/part-time role requires individuals who are adaptable and willing to perform across multiple departments as needed, contributing to team efforts beyond their primary responsibilities. Candidates will be engaged in daily food production planning, inventory receiving and storage, and occasionally special projects to support the overall restaurant operations. - 1-3 months related experience or training or equivalent combinations of education and experience
- Current California Food Handlers Card
- Ability to comprehend simple instructions and understand measurements
- Ability to read recipes
- Ability to speak and understand English both written and verbally
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions

Job Duties
- Wash, cut and/or cook vegetables, fruit, meat, fish, poultry and/or seafood to prepare for use
- Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes to prepare menu items
- Prepare plates to be served by placing appropriate menu items on plate
- Use prep lists to determine production for the day
- Complete all responsibilities of assigned position in accordance with company standards
- Promote, establish, and maintain a safe environment for all guests and Team Members
- Assist with receiving and storing all orders properly as needed
- Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the restaurant
- Work in other and/or multiple departments as assigned
- Participate in special projects or additional duties as directed by management
