Job Description

Flatrock Motorclub is a premier private motorsports community located in Eastern Tennessee, designed for driving enthusiasts, collectors, and competitors who share a passion for speed and an elevated lifestyle. At the heart of the club is a meticulously crafted 3.5-mile Tilke-designed racetrack that presents a unique challenge, excitement, and thrill for its members. This exclusive club experience extends beyond the racetrack to include first-class amenities, a vibrant social atmosphere, and luxury real estate opportunities including customizable garage lofts, villas, and paddock garages. Flatrock Motorclub stands out as an extraordinary lifestyle destination redefining the concept of motorsports living.

We are currently seeking an experienced Line Cook to join our culinary team and play an integral role in creating exceptional culinary experiences for our elite membership. The Line Cook will report to the Sous Chef, Executive Sous Chef, and Executive Chef, working collaboratively in a non-exempt position. This role offers a rare opportunity to work alongside a 20-year veteran of the Thomas Keller Restaurant Group, contributing to the development of distinctive menus across multiple outlets within the club. As a vital part of the culinary team, the Line Cook will help shape the culinary vision and identity of Flatrock Motorclub, ensuring each dish meets the highest standards of quality and creativity.

This position is more than just a cooking role; it involves leadership, creativity, and collaboration within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The Line Cook will assist and support culinary leadership in building a world-class food and beverage program from the ground up, leading by example to inspire the entire culinary team. The role demands a passion for farm-to-table cuisine, a strong commitment to using fresh, seasonal ingredients, and expertise in a variety of modern cooking techniques. Candidates must be adaptable to a unique, non-traditional schedule influenced by member-driven events, including weekends, evenings, holidays, and race weekends when the club is bustling with activity.

Working conditions present some unique challenges and opportunities. Initially, the Line Cook will operate in a temporary kitchen environment while the Flatrock Motorclub clubhouse is under construction. This transition phase provides the chance to influence the design, functionality, and flow of the new clubhouse kitchen and food and beverage outlets, which is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity in a project of this scale. Flexibility, adaptability, and creativity are critical to success in this environment, as is a commitment to maintaining high culinary standards under evolving conditions.

Flatrock Motorclub is committed to fostering a positive and healthy leadership culture and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We welcome qualified applicants from diverse backgrounds and are dedicated to providing a supportive workplace free from discrimination. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screening and background check. Joining Flatrock Motorclub as a Line Cook means being part of a pioneering community where passion for motorsports meets an exceptional culinary and lifestyle experience. This is your chance to enhance your culinary career while enjoying the unique luxury motorsports environment that only Flatrock can offer.
