The Line Cook position at Puttery plays an essential role in maintaining the high standards of the kitchen. The Line Cook’s primary responsibility is to prepare menu items accurately by following company recipes and presentation standards, ensuring both quality and consistency for every dish served. This role requires a blend of speed and precision to keep up with the fast-paced environment while contributing to a cohesive kitchen operation. A successful Line Cook will manage preparation tasks such as chopping, mixing, and portioning ingredients; set up and replenish station supplies; and ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are rigorously upheld throughout service.

Line Cooks must work collaboratively with the broader kitchen team to deliver exceptional guest experiences. They will also assist in training new kitchen staff and communicate equipment or supply needs to management proactively. Physical stamina and flexibility are crucial, as this role involves standing and walking for extended periods, regularly lifting heavy items, and enduring a kitchen environment with heat and humidity. Puttery offers a supportive schedule that includes days, nights, weekends, and holidays, enabling a dynamic work-life balance.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous culinary experience in a high-volume environment required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced high-energy and physically demanding environment
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Availability to work days nights weekends and holidays as needed
  • Knowledge of health safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

Job Qualifications

  • Previous culinary experience in a high-volume environment required
  • Multi-station experience a plus
  • Strong understanding of cooking techniques ingredients and kitchen equipment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced high-energy and physically demanding environment
  • Excellent teamwork communication and time management skills
  • Safe Food Handler certification preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare ingredients for service including chopping portioning mixing and measuring
  • Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies before each shift
  • Cook menu items accurately and efficiently according to recipes and presentation standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations throughout service
  • Label and store all food products properly after each shift
  • Follow all health safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Assist with training new kitchen team members as requested
  • Communicate equipment or supply needs to management promptly
  • Perform other duties as requested by management
