Job Requirements

  • Experience in at least one of the following stations: pantry, pastry, pizza, wok, sauté, grill
  • Preferably have at least 6 months experience in a similar capacity in a high-volume restaurant
  • Flexibility to work nights, holidays and/or weekends
  • Exceptional knife skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in high volume, fast paced environment
  • Ability to read and execute a recipe
  • Passion for making great food and accountability in presenting quality dishes

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in a minimum of one of these stations: Pantry, Pastry, Pizza, Wok, Sauté, Grill
  • Experience in more than one station is a plus
  • At least 6 months experience in a similar capacity in a high-volume restaurant preferred
  • Exceptional knife skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high volume, fast paced environment
  • Ability to read and execute a recipe
  • Passion for making great food and presenting quality dishes

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook a variety of starters, entrees, pizzas and more using a variety of kitchen equipment and techniques
  • Know and comply consistently with portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures
  • Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service
  • Portion food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work station and corresponding equipment
  • Execute proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes
  • Handle, store, and rotate all products properly and according to standards
  • Assist in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed
  • Open and close the kitchen properly, assist others and follow checklists for kitchen stations
  • Understand and follow proper rules of hygiene and food safety measures
  • Participate in proactive communication to help avoid and solve operational, HR, and financial issues
  • Be flexible during shifts to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed
