Job Requirements

  • Follow all prescribed portioning controls and par levels
  • maintain food safety and quality standards
  • communicate any food delays or issues to Coordinator
  • maintain menu item counts and communicate to Management and service staff when quantities fall below restaurant specific minimum quantity
  • accurately account for all items coming out of the station
  • comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures
  • follow all rules, policies, procedures and conditions of employment including those outlined in the Employee Handbook
  • get along well with others and be a team player
  • other duties will be assigned as needed

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to read a thermometer correctly and efficiently
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • understanding and ability to follow food allergy procedures and special orders or restrictions
  • strong communication skills to report food delays or issues
  • experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment preferred
  • teamwork skills and ability to get along well with others
  • capability to maintain station organization and cleanliness
  • flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends

Job Duties

  • Executing menu items from start to finish including preparation of ingredients, butchery of proteins, cooking and plating of menu items
  • honing your existing skills while learning new techniques and building your skill set
  • working collaboratively with back-of-house staff and front-of-house staff
  • maintaining cleanliness of any back-of-house work areas, including refrigeration, cooking equipment, and prep areas
  • participating in deep cleaning of back-of-house work areas
  • available to work a variety of hours, days and shifts, including weekends
  • safely and effectively using and operating all necessary tools and equipment, including knives
  • ability to effectively communicate in order to perform and follow job requirements in written and spoken direction
