Job Requirements
- Follow all prescribed portioning controls and par levels
- maintain food safety and quality standards
- communicate any food delays or issues to Coordinator
- maintain menu item counts and communicate to Management and service staff when quantities fall below restaurant specific minimum quantity
- accurately account for all items coming out of the station
- comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures
- follow all rules, policies, procedures and conditions of employment including those outlined in the Employee Handbook
- get along well with others and be a team player
- other duties will be assigned as needed
Job Qualifications
- Ability to read a thermometer correctly and efficiently
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
- understanding and ability to follow food allergy procedures and special orders or restrictions
- strong communication skills to report food delays or issues
- experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment preferred
- teamwork skills and ability to get along well with others
- capability to maintain station organization and cleanliness
- flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends
Job Duties
- Executing menu items from start to finish including preparation of ingredients, butchery of proteins, cooking and plating of menu items
- honing your existing skills while learning new techniques and building your skill set
- working collaboratively with back-of-house staff and front-of-house staff
- maintaining cleanliness of any back-of-house work areas, including refrigeration, cooking equipment, and prep areas
- participating in deep cleaning of back-of-house work areas
- available to work a variety of hours, days and shifts, including weekends
- safely and effectively using and operating all necessary tools and equipment, including knives
- ability to effectively communicate in order to perform and follow job requirements in written and spoken direction
