Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- culinary degree or equivalent work experience preferred
- current Food Handler's Certification required
- ServSafe Certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
- minimum of three (3) years of experience in healthcare, long-term care, or a related high-volume, high-end food service environment
- strong knowledge of institutional food service practices, including food planning, preparation, cooking, storage, and sanitation
- basic understanding of nutrition, dietary requirements, food safety, and sanitation practices
- committed to upholding residents' rights and maintaining confidentiality of health information
- team player with flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- excellent time management, organization, and customer service skills

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Prepare and cook meals following approved menus and recipes
- ensure meals are served at proper temperatures and meet portion, presentation, and taste standards
- maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation at all times
- adhere to sanitation and food safety regulations (local, state, and federal)
- collaborate with the Executive Sous Chef and culinary leadership on menu execution, dietary needs, and special diets
- assist in cleaning kitchen equipment, cooking areas, and other food service facilities
- attend in-service training and staff meetings as required
- perform other kitchen-related duties as assigned
