Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards
  • begin food items prepared ahead of time without over-preparing
  • date all food containers and rotate per Hersha Hospitality standards ensuring perishables kept at proper temperatures
  • check pars for shift use and prepare necessary items and line set-up while noting shortages
  • return unused food items to designated storage with proper covering and dating
  • assist in setting up plans to correct food cost problems and control food waste
  • operate, maintain, and clean kitchen tools and equipment
  • follow sustainability guidelines related to HHM's EarthView program
  • practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment, and follow MSDS and OSHA standards
  • perform other duties as requested by management
