Job Requirements
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- knowledge of and ability to consistently prepare all food recipes and sub-recipes as instructed by the executive chef and/or general manager
- ability to communicate effectively in English both verbal and written form in a professional manner
- ability to expedite tickets accurately and timely and read/understand kitchen monitors or printed tickets behind the cooks' line
- must have knives and other small hand tools as part of the uniform
- proper cooling and storing practices per health department rules and regulations
- knowledge of proper techniques for making stock, sauces, sauteing, grilling, poaching, and plating
- ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- ability to follow directions in a fast-paced environment
- manage time effectively and work well in a team environment
- must possess excellent customer relations, sales, & communication skills
- at all times during employment, you must have a valid Washington State Health Card and any other government-required cards
- a desire to learn, and grow, and a passion for progress in this career
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience as a line cook or in a similar kitchen role
- ability to prepare food recipes and sub-recipes as instructed by the executive chef or general manager
- proficient in English communication skills both verbal and written
- knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation standards
- ability to use knives and small hand tools efficiently as part of uniform
- understanding of health department rules and food storage practices
- excellent customer relations and communication skills
- valid Washington State Health Card and other government-required certifications
Job Duties
- Performs all culinary duties and responsibilities to achieve overall success of the operation
- prepares food orders for guests using prescribed recipes and standards
- expedites tickets accurately and timely
