Job Requirements

  • 1+ years of cooking experience in an upscale or fine-dining high volume establishment
  • Positive attitude, a sense of responsibility and ownership of the position
  • Detail oriented with strong communication skills
  • Team oriented with punctuality and reliability
  • Basic understanding of recipe preparation, cooking and knife handling skills
  • Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures
  • Continuous reaching, bending, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
  • Certified for food service as required by State and Local Agencies

Job Duties

  • Prepare dishes from scratch following recipes to produce consistent results
  • Know and comply with standard cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen practices
  • Cook a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items using broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and other kitchen equipment
  • Portion all products, follow recipes and ensure plate presentation is aesthetically pleasing
  • Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies
  • Follow safety and sanitation standards, maintain clean and organized workstations, and adhere to food handling standards
  • Adhere to food service safety and sanitation guidelines required by State and Local Agencies
