Job Requirements

  • Ability to grasp, lift, carry, or move goods up to 100 lbs
  • manual dexterity to use all kitchen equipment including knives and utensils
  • ability to work in extreme temperature ranges and confined spaces
  • ability to frequently twist, bend, stoop, reach, stand, walk, talk, hear, see, and smile
  • willingness to work flexible shifts as required
  • must comply with all safety, health, and sanitation regulations
  • ability to maintain a neat and professional appearance

Job Qualifications

  • Hold a current Food Handler Card
  • preferred 2 years cooking experience, especially broiler cooking
  • basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette
  • good working knowledge of broiler and sauté cooking fundamentals
  • good knowledge of sanitation standards
  • ability to operate kitchen equipment like stoves, ovens, broilers, slicers, steamers, kettles
  • basic math skills for recipes and portion control
  • basic English proficiency to understand instructions and communicate
  • ability to comprehend written product labeling instructions
  • ability to operate beverage equipment such as coffee makers

Job Duties

  • Prepares daily preparation lists for production
  • reads and employs math skills to follow recipes
  • prepares all broiled and sautéed food items according to standard recipes and guest specifications
  • visually inspects and selects high-quality food items for preparation
  • checks and controls proper storage and portion control of products
  • maintains cleanliness and proper working condition of refrigeration, equipment, and work areas
  • maintains all logs related to cooling, heating, and temperature
  • adheres to company policies and safety procedures
  • reports unsafe conditions and incidents to management
  • assists other kitchen personnel as needed
  • maintains neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance as per company standards
