Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
prior experience in food preparation or related field preferred
ability to follow detailed instructions and recipes
must have good communication skills
physically capable of lifting up to 100 pounds on a continuous schedule
willingness to work regular shifts and comply with attendance policies
ability to operate various kitchen appliances safely
maintain a professional demeanor at all times

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
prior experience in a food preparation or kitchen environment preferred
strong communication skills
ability to work effectively as part of a team
professional appearance and behavior
proficiency in operating kitchen equipment
knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
ability to handle physically demanding tasks

Job Duties

Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards per check from servers
start food items that are prepared ahead of time without over-preparing estimated needs
date all food containers and rotate as per Crescent standards ensuring all perishables are kept at proper temperatures
check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull, and line set up while noting any out-of-stock items or potential shortages
assist in keeping buffet stocked
return all unused food items to designated storage areas, covering and dating all perishables
assist in setting up plans and actions to correct any food cost problems, control food waste, loss, and usage per Crescent standards
operate, maintain and properly clean kitchen equipment such as deep fryers, broilers, stoves, steamers, food processors, mixers, slicers, oven steam tables, tilt kettles, waffle irons, and flat top grills
comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly
perform any other job-related duties as assigned
