Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in food preparation or related field preferred
- ability to follow detailed instructions and recipes
- must have good communication skills
- physically capable of lifting up to 100 pounds on a continuous schedule
- willingness to work regular shifts and comply with attendance policies
- ability to operate various kitchen appliances safely
- maintain a professional demeanor at all times

Job Duties
- Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards per check from servers
- start food items that are prepared ahead of time without over-preparing estimated needs
- date all food containers and rotate as per Crescent standards ensuring all perishables are kept at proper temperatures
- check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull, and line set up while noting any out-of-stock items or potential shortages
- assist in keeping buffet stocked
- return all unused food items to designated storage areas, covering and dating all perishables
- assist in setting up plans and actions to correct any food cost problems, control food waste, loss, and usage per Crescent standards
- operate, maintain and properly clean kitchen equipment such as deep fryers, broilers, stoves, steamers, food processors, mixers, slicers, oven steam tables, tilt kettles, waffle irons, and flat top grills
- comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly
- perform any other job-related duties as assigned
