Job Requirements
- Certified food handler in respective state
- Ability to work in hot, wet, humid, and loud environments for long periods of time
- Ability to stand for long periods of time up to 8 hours
- Ability to safely lift up to 40 pounds multiple times per shift
- Reliable transportation
- At least 17 years of age
- Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with team members
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all team members
Job Qualifications
- Must be a certified food handler in respective state
- Must be able to work in hot, wet, humid, and loud environments for long periods of time
- Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time up to 8 hours
- Must be able to safely lift bags, cases, and stacks up to 40 pounds many times per shift
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be at least 17 years of age
- Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with fellow team members
- Possess the ability to maintain effective working relationships with all team members
Job Duties
- Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers, and a variety of other kitchen equipment according to brand recipe standards
- Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to ensure smooth service periods
- Portion food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications
- Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, saute burners, convection oven, flat top range and refrigeration equipment
- Follow proper plate presentation and garnish setup for all dishes
- Handle, store, label, and rotate all products properly
- Assist in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed
- Close the kitchen properly and follow the closing checklist for kitchen station
- Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to all local, state, and federal safety laws and company safety policies
- Understand safe food and equipment handling
- Follow all back of house (BOH) standards for safety and cleanliness
- Report any unsafe working conditions or issues to management
- Ensure all dishes, cookware, equipment, and supplies are clean, sanitized, and organized
- Be a team player
- Share the love of all restaurant brand products
- Assist in the cleanliness and upkeep of the restaurant
- Complete setup, side work, and/or closing duties as assigned
- Ensure safe food handling and general restaurant safety for guests and team members
