Job Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- comfortable working in a hot and sometimes crowded kitchen environment
- ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity, such as chopping, slicing, and frying
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- culinary degree or certification preferred
- minimum of 3 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen or restaurant setting
- strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and food safety practices
- ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- excellent time management skills and attention to detail
- team-oriented with the ability to communicate effectively with others
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
- ensure all food is prepared and presented in a timely manner, meeting quality standards of flavor and aesthetics
- maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and work areas, adhering to food safety and sanitation regulations
- assist with inventory management, portioning, and food prep as needed
- collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain efficient workflow and communication
- participate in menu development by contributing creative ideas and feedback based on customer preferences
