Oahu Country Club is a prestigious and scenic golf club located in the tranquil Nu'uanu Valley, just 10 minutes from downtown Honolulu. Currently, Oahu Country Club is seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join its culinary team. This role is essential to maintaining the high-quality food service standards for which the club is known. The Line Cook at Oahu Country Club is responsible for overseeing a specific area of the kitchen, ensuring that food is prepared and cooked according to predetermined quality standards and presented in a timely manner. The position demands attention to detail in food preparation, cleanliness, and organization of the workstation. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate basic knife skills including slicing, dicing, and julienne techniques and to maintain sanitation and safety practices consistently.
This position requires availability to work flexible shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays to accommodate the club's dining and banquet needs. The Line Cook will play a vital role in supporting various dining events, including breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and banquet functions, by assisting in food preparation and station setup and breakdown. Furthermore, this role involves collaborating closely with kitchen supervisors and other team members to ensure flawless service and total member satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will have previous kitchen experience with a minimum of six months in a professional kitchen environment and at least one year of experience specifically in hot food preparation. A high school diploma is preferred, and possession of a TB card is mandatory for employment. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum six months of kitchen experience
- Minimum one year experience in hot food preparation
- TB card clearance
- Availability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays
- Own knives and special equipment required for assigned duties
- Ability to adhere to sanitation and safety standards

Job Duties
- Prepare food items for customers using a quality predetermined method in a timely and consistent manner
- Assist in preparing and cooking foods under supervision
- Responsible for preparing and planning from breakfast, lunch and dinner items in a timely manner
- Maintain established quality standards
- Promote teamwork and morale
- Review and implement Banquet Event Order
- Set up station with predetermined mise en place required to service all banquet functions or any station assigned
