Job Description
SSP America is a leading provider of food and beverage services in travel locations across the United States and internationally. Specializing in airport dining, the company operates a wide variety of restaurant brands that cater to diverse tastes and preferences. At Seattle Tacoma International Airport (SEA), one of the busiest and most vibrant transportation hubs in America, SSP America manages a portfolio of popular dining establishments including Ballard Brew Hall, Mi Casa Cantina, Greedy Cow, Pei Wei, Bad Egg, and many others. The organization is committed to delivering exceptional culinary experiences in fast-paced environments tailored to travelers and airport personnel alike. Joining SSP America means becoming part of a dynamic team with opportunities for career advancement, competitive wages, and a supportive work environment focused on food safety and customer satisfaction. The company offers competitive pay starting at $25.36 per hour and emphasizes inclusivity and equal opportunity for all employees. The Line Cook role at SSP America is a pivotal position within these high-volume airport restaurants. Line Cooks play a critical role in receiving food orders, preparing a variety of delicious dishes with precision and care, and ensuring that the kitchen is efficiently organized so that their fellow team members have easy access to necessary ingredients and tools during service. This position demands a keen attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and a positive, friendly attitude that reflects the company’s customer service values. Because of the fast-paced nature of airport dining, Line Cooks must be able to perform under pressure while maintaining high food safety standards and consistency. Individuals who thrive in this role are able to collaborate effectively within a team atmosphere, consistently follow detailed food preparation processes, and maintain an eye for quality. SSP America supports its employees through comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan with employer matching, vacation accruals, paid holidays, sick leave, meal discounts, and paid breaks. Employees working 80-plus hours per month are eligible for medical benefits at a minimal employee cost. Additional provisions like employee assistance programs and extended leaves of absence further exemplify SSP America's commitment to their workforce's well-being. For culinary professionals or those launching a career in the foodservice industry, the Line Cook position at SSP America presents an excellent opportunity to grow within a stable and respected company while gaining invaluable experience in a unique airport dining environment. With an immediate hiring priority, SSP America invites enthusiastic, dependable individuals to join their team and contribute to making every guest's dining experience memorable.
