We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. This role is vital to our day-to-day operations, where you will take ownership of your station and help maintain the highest standards in food quality and presentation. As a Line Cook at Home Team, you will be responsible for preparing and plating menu items with accuracy and speed, adhering to recipes and portion guidelines meticulously. Your role involves managing your workstation to keep it clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations throughout your shift. The position requires a detail-oriented professional who thrives under pressure and can assist with various prep and backup duties during different parts of the day.
The Line Cook will engage extensively with food handling and preparation tasks, including setting up the steam table with proper water levels, heating food to the correct temperature, and ensuring all ingredients are properly prepared and stored according to the Executive Chef's directives. Backup duties in both morning and evening shifts are integral, alongside continuous stock management and readiness for service. You will contribute to maintaining par levels and ensuring that the kitchen flows smoothly during busy periods. This role demands flexibility, as the Line Cook must adjust recipes and processes depending on demand while preserving taste, texture, and consistency.
Success in this position requires excellent multitasking abilities, a strong work ethic, clear communication skills, and problem-solving capabilities even in high-stress environments. Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous kitchen or line cook experience preferred

- Basic knife skills and cooking techniques
Job Duties
- Handle, store, and rotate food properly to ensure freshness and safety
- Follow recipes, portion guidelines, and plating specifications set by Home Team
- Maintain a sanitary and efficient workspace throughout prep and service
- Set up the steam table with proper water levels, heat food to correct temperatures, and ensure everything is ready for service
- Maintain par levels by keeping the steam table stocked, heated, and service-ready
- Follow prep lists from the Executive Chef or Sous Chef, ensuring all ingredients are properly prepared and stored
- Cook and assemble menu items from the station, ensuring quality and consistency
