Job Description
Jim Burke Ford Lincoln is a prestigious automobile dealership recognized as one of the top five Ford dealers in California. Established in 1913, it stands as one of the oldest and most reputable dealership corporations in the United States. With a workforce of nearly 300 dedicated employees, Jim Burke Ford Lincoln has earned the coveted Ford Motor Company President's Award, the highest honor awarded to dealerships, highlighting its commitment to excellence in customer service, sales, and overall operational quality. The company prides itself on its vision of "Building lasting relationships," which forms the core of its business philosophy and community engagement. Join a winning team that is geared toward growth opportunities, leadership development, and fostering an engaged and motivated workforce.
The Lincoln Service Porter role at Jim Burke Ford Lincoln is vital to delivering an exceptional, hospitality-focused experience to Lincoln clients. This position acts as the first point of contact on the service drive, setting the tone for the premium, customer-centric service that Lincoln is known for. The Service Porter welcomes clients warmly and professionally, supports check-in and service needs, and collaborates closely with Service Advisors, the Service Manager, and the broader service team to create an exceptional ownership experience. The role encompasses a variety of responsibilities related to vehicle movement, cleanliness, client transportation, and the organization of the service drive, tailored specifically to Lincoln’s luxury standards.
This job is an excellent opportunity for proactive individuals who thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and take pride in maintaining a professional appearance and attitude. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused with excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering world-class service that reflects the Lincoln brand promise. The Service Porter is expected to efficiently manage vehicle logistics including transit to and from service bays, parking, wash stations, and delivery points, while ensuring that vehicles meet stringent cleanliness and preparation standards before they return to clients.
In addition to routine responsibilities, the Service Porter is instrumental in supporting Lincoln-specific programs such as vehicle pickup and delivery, enhancing client convenience and satisfaction. Candidates must be adaptable, dependable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong attention to detail and pride in their work output. The role also includes maintaining the tidiness and presentation of all customer-facing areas—showrooms, waiting areas, restrooms—to ensure a welcoming and comfortable environment. Engagement in regular training and compliance with dealership safety and operational protocols are critical parts of this position.
Overall, the Lincoln Service Porter position is suited for individuals seeking a rewarding role in a reputable and customer-focused automotive dealership. With a supportive team environment, opportunities for growth, and an emphasis on quality and professionalism, this role offers long-term career potential within the automotive service industry.
