The role of Lifestyle Director at FirstService Residential is a pivotal position designed to enhance the quality of life for community residents through the planning and execution of a wide range of social events and programs. The Lifestyle Director plays an essential role in promoting community engagement and building strong social connections among residents by overseeing activities and events tailored to their interests and needs. This position is responsible for managing Charter Club activities, facilitating resident involvement, and ensuring the smooth scheduling of association facilities. The Lifestyle Director also takes charge of social communication efforts, including managing the community website and distributing newsletters, to keep residents informed and connected.

Beyond event planning and community programming, the Lifestyle Director manages budgets related to lifestyle activities while maintaining partnerships with vendors and service providers to enhance offerings. This role requires collaboration with multiple stakeholders, including residents, neighborhood organizations, and internal departments, to foster a dynamic and inclusive community atmosphere. Additionally, the Lifestyle Director adheres to the highest standards of personal, professional, and ethical conduct while ensuring compliance with service agreements and safety protocols.

This full-time exempt position offers an annual salary range of $80,000 to $85,000 and includes benefits such as multiple medical plan options, dental, vision, paid time off, paid holidays, and a 401(k) with company match. The schedule is primarily Monday through Friday with occasional evenings and weekends for events. The position requires flexibility, strong leadership skills, and a passion for community enrichment through innovative lifestyle programs and excellent resident relations.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree preferred
Three to five years of related experience with HOAs and/or active adult programming
Proficient with Publisher, Word, Excel, and Outlook
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work flexible hours including some evenings and weekends
Valid Florida driver license
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to stand, sit, walk, and climb as needed
Ability to work at a computer and speak on the phone for extended periods
Commitment to ethical and professional conduct
Attention to detail

Job Qualifications

Major in recreation, hospitality, marketing, event planning, or communication fields preferred
College level courses in business or hospitality preferred
General knowledge of computer systems, software, registration processes, policies, procedures, equipment, materials, and products
Strong public speaking skills
Highly effective interpersonal, problem solving, and advanced communication skills
Proficient computer skills in Publisher, Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to learn new software programs
Three to five years of related work experience with HOAs and/or active adult programming
Attention to detail
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
Experience in budgetary development and management

Job Duties

Plan, promote and implement resident programs and special community-wide events
Solicit input and involvement from residents to stimulate participation and awareness of lifestyle opportunities including Charter Clubs
Assist residents, chartered clubs, and neighborhood organizations in scheduling Association facilities including program and room requirements and coordination with other departments
Oversee orientation for new owners
Develop and distribute Association newsletters and other lifestyle public relations and marketing publications
Prepare and manage the annual budget for lifestyle programs, events, music licenses, and corporate card usage
Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, service providers, and partners to enhance lifestyle offerings
Ensure compliance with service agreements and insurance requirements with each service provider
Provide leadership assistance with Charter Clubs to ensure compliance
Develop and promote an active volunteer program among residents
Manage the community website and Website Assistant Team
Coordinate all other duties as assigned
Adhere to FirstService Residential Global Service Standards and maintain the highest standards of personal, professional and ethical conduct
Ensure all safety precautions are followed
Follow all policies and Standard Operating Procedures as instructed by Management
Perform special projects, tasks, and other related duties as assigned
