The Community Lifestyle Director role is a full-time, exempt position with an annual salary range of $55,000 to $65,000. This crucial position involves planning, promoting, and executing HOA social events and programs, along with overseeing Charter Club activities aimed at enhancing the quality of life within the community. The Lifestyle Director plays an essential role in boosting community vibrancy by facilitating resident participation and managing communication channels such as newsletters and websites. Additionally, this position requires managing quarterly budgets related to lifestyle programming and working closely with various vendors and service providers to ensure the smooth operation of lifestyle events. Furthermore, the role involves facility scheduling, social communication, and maintaining a modern, user-friendly community website managed with the support of resident volunteers.
The Lifestyle Director regularly liaises with residents, charter clubs, and neighborhood organizations to ensure effective use and scheduling of community facilities, coordinating activities to maximize community engagement. This role also includes providing orientation for new owners to familiarize them with community offerings and policies. The successful candidate must maintain high professional and ethical standards, comply with FirstService Residential Global Service Standards, and ensure safety protocols are strictly followed in all activities. The position demands flexibility and availability to work extended hours, including weekends, and occasional travel for training purposes. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- major in recreation, hospitality, marketing, event planning, or communication fields preferred
- college level courses in business or hospitality preferred
- three to five years of related work experience with HOAs and/or active adult programming
- proficient computer skills in Publisher, Word, Excel, and Outlook
- strong public speaking skills
- ability to learn new software programs
- strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
- experienced in budgetary development and management
- paying attention to detail
- effective written and verbal communication skills
- ability to work extended/flexible hours and weekends
- ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- standing, sitting, walking, and climbing may be required
- ability to work at a computer and speak on the phone for extended periods
- must possess a valid Georgia driver's license

Job Duties
- Plan, promote and implement resident programs and special community-wide events
- solicit input and involvement from residents to stimulate participation and awareness of lifestyle opportunities including Charter Clubs
- assist residents, chartered clubs, and neighborhood organizations in scheduling Association facilities, including program and room requirements, coordination with other Association departments, and fee collection arrangements
- oversee orientation for new owners
- develop and distribute Association newsletter and other public relations and marketing publications
- prepare and manage the annual budget for lifestyle programs and events, music licenses, corporate card usage, etc.
- establish and maintain relationships with vendors, service providers, and partners to enhance lifestyle offerings
- ensure service agreements and insurance requirements with service providers are met
- provide leadership assistance to Charter Clubs to ensure compliance
- assist in the application for the charter process
- develop an active volunteer program including promotion and recognition
- manage the website and Website Assistant Team which includes resident volunteers
- coordinate all other duties as assigned
- adhere to FirstService Residential Global Service Standards and conduct business with the highest professional and ethical standards
- ensure all safety precautions are followed
- follow all policies and Standard Operating Procedures as instructed by Management
- perform special projects, tasks and other related duties as assigned
