Marriott International is a globally recognized leader in the hospitality industry, known for its commitment to exceptional guest service and innovative hospitality solutions. The Santa Clara Marriott, located at 2700 Mission College Blvd in Santa Clara, California, is part of this esteemed network. This full-service hotel caters to both business and leisure travelers, providing a range of amenities including luxurious accommodations, gourmet dining, and various event spaces. Marriott International prides itself on fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace, welcoming associates from all backgrounds and offering opportunities for career growth and development within its extensive global portfolio.

The position available is for a Bartender at the Santa Clara Marriott. This is a non-management, full-time role that offers an hourly wage of $22.00 plus tips. Bartenders at Marriott are more than just individuals who prepare and serve beverages; they are integral to creating memorable guest experiences that go beyond simply mixing drinks. They are knowledgeable hospitality professionals who stay current with industry trends, micro-local offerings, and evolving guest preferences. The bartender plays a vital role in ensuring the bar area operates smoothly and looks pristine while building strong relationships with guests and hotel staff alike.

This position requires enthusiasm for guest service and an eye for detail, from handling transactions carefully to delivering high-quality beverages and information to guests efficiently. Bartenders should be ready to take ownership of their responsibilities, which includes maintaining a safe work environment, adhering to company policies, protecting company assets, and maintaining a professional appearance. The role involves significant physical activity such as standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects weighing up to 25 pounds, as well as bending and stooping. This hands-on approach ensures the provision of seamless service that reflects Marriott’s legacy of wonderful hospitality.

Candidates ideally hold a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and have at least one year of related work experience. While no supervisory experience or specific licenses are required, a commitment to guest satisfaction and teamwork is essential. Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays, is preferred to meet the dynamic needs of the hospitality environment.

At Marriott International, employees are valued as their greatest asset and are supported through ongoing training, development opportunities, and a culture that celebrates unique backgrounds and talents. The Santa Clara Marriott exemplifies these values by fostering an inclusive environment where all associates can thrive, feel a strong sense of belonging, and pursue their professional goals while delivering the legendary Marriott standard of service. Joining Marriott means becoming part of a renowned global brand dedicated to advancing hospitality and creating meaningful experiences for guests and employees alike.
