Job Description

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts, a distinguished brand within the Marriott International portfolio, stands as a beacon of hospitality and global community since its establishment in 1937. Renowned for its commitment to delivering rich, engaging experiences, Sheraton has become synonymous with a welcoming atmosphere where guests and associates alike find a sense of belonging. With over 400 locations worldwide, Sheraton continues to expand its reach while maintaining its dedication to exceptional service and cultural inclusiveness. This hotel brand is part of the larger Marriott International family, which is known for prioritizing diversity, equity, and inclusion, creating a respectful workplace for employees from all walks of life. At Sheraton, the philosophy centers on community and connection, inviting travelers and team members to create meaningful moments together in some of the world’s most vibrant destinations.

The Bartender role at Sheraton is far more dynamic than the traditional image of mixing drinks behind a bar. It is a position deeply rooted in the art of hospitality and guest engagement, emphasizing the importance of crafting memorable and unique experiences. Bartenders at Sheraton are not merely beverage enthusiasts; they are key hosts of the establishment, ensuring every facet of guest service is impeccably managed. Beyond mastering drink preparation and mixology, bartenders take on the responsibility of maintaining the bar's flawless operation and aesthetics, reflecting pride in the venue and enhancing the overall guest experience.

This role demands a proactive approach to discovering new beverage trends, including micro-local offerings that keep the menu fresh and exciting. Bartenders actively develop relationships with colleagues and the wider community, enabling them to anticipate and fulfill guest needs with genuine personalized care. A keen eye for detail is essential, whether managing transactions accurately, providing timely and informative responses to guest inquiries, or upholding the highest standards of drink quality. Physical stamina is required as the role involves standing, walking, and moving continuously, along with manual tasks such as lifting and carrying items weighing up to 25 pounds.

Safety, professionalism, and adherence to company policies remain paramount. Bartenders are expected to contribute to a secure work environment, safeguard company assets, maintain confidentiality, and present themselves with a professional appearance. This ensures that team members embody the values Sheraton represents, serving as the face of the brand while fostering a welcoming and secure setting for guests and peers alike.

At Sheraton Hotels & Resorts, opportunities for growth and development are abundant. While this position does not require supervisory experience, it offers a solid foundation for building a career in the hospitality industry. Bartenders are encouraged to bring their passion for guest service to the forefront, contributing to a vibrant team culture and the hotel’s mission to be 'The World’s Gathering Place.' Join Sheraton to not only advance your skills but to truly belong to a community that values your unique contributions and supports your career journey from day one.
