Job Description
The New Orleans Marriott Warehouse Arts District, part of the globally recognized Marriott International brand, is a premier hospitality establishment located at 859 Convention Center Blvd, New Orleans. Known for its vibrant atmosphere and exceptional service, this hotel offers guests a memorable experience in the heart of New Orleans, a city celebrated for its rich culture, cuisine, and entertainment. As part of Marriott International’s extensive portfolio, the New Orleans Marriott Warehouse Arts District embodies the company’s commitment to delivering wonderful hospitality always, emphasizing a welcoming environment for guests and associates alike. This full-time, non-management position is situated in a dynamic food and beverage environment, providing an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about the hospitality industry and guest service excellence.
The role of Bartender at the New Orleans Marriott Warehouse Arts District is much more than mixing drinks; it’s about crafting an unforgettable guest experience that goes beyond the bar. Bartenders here are expected to possess a blend of technical skills, creativity, and a genuine passion for guest interaction. They stay attuned to emerging trends, local offerings, and the evolving preferences of guests, ensuring that every cocktail not only meets but exceeds expectations. Beyond beverage preparation, bartenders act as the hosts of their space, fostering a welcoming atmosphere and building strong relationships across the hotel and community. This role requires a keen eye for detail — from handling transactions accurately to delivering high-quality drinks and ensuring that the bar area is pristine and efficiently run.
The bartender’s responsibilities include more than just drink-making; they entail ownership of the overall guest service experience, working collaboratively with other hotel departments to anticipate and fulfill guest needs. Being physically active is a necessity in this role, as bartenders are frequently on their feet, moving about, lifting, pushing, and pulling objects up to 25 pounds. Adherence to safety protocols, company policies, and maintaining a professional appearance are critical to success. This position contributes directly to the guest satisfaction and operational efficiency of the hotel’s food and beverage department.
Associates at Marriott International benefit from a culture of inclusion, equality, and opportunity. The company prides itself on fostering an environment where diverse backgrounds are appreciated and celebrated, making every associate’s contribution valued. The New Orleans Marriott Warehouse Arts District exemplifies these values within its team, emphasizing respect, development, and well-being.
Joining as a Bartender offers a pathway for individuals who seek to develop their hospitality career in a supportive and dynamic luxury hotel environment. Marriott’s commitment to training, recognition, and associate care ensures that every team member has the tools and opportunities to thrive. Marriott Hotels are synonymous with trust, innovation, and outstanding service worldwide, and this role is a vital part of upholding that legacy in one of America’s most iconic cities.
This role is ideally suited for candidates with a minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent and at least one year of related work experience. While supervisory experience is not required, the position demands a proactive and guest-centric mindset. This is a wonderful chance to be part of a global hospitality leader known for elevating the art of hospitality and delivering The JW Treatment™ — a standard of care focused on associates’ and guests’ holistic well-being. Aspiring bartenders who value teamwork, cultural diversity, and consistent excellence will find a rewarding career opportunity here.
