Job Description

Marriott International is a globally recognized hospitality company known for its dedication to delivering exceptional guest experiences across a wide portfolio of brands. Among these prestigious brands is JW Marriott, part of Marriott's luxury hotel portfolio, which comprises over 100 properties situated in gateway cities and distinctive resort locations worldwide. JW Marriott places a strong emphasis on valuing and investing in its associates, believing that the happiness and well-being of its team directly influence the satisfaction of its guests. This philosophy, known as The JW Treatment17;, ensures that employees are supported, trained, and recognized, allowing them to pursue their passions in a luxury hospitality environment focused on holistic well-being and professional growth.

The role of a Bartender at Marriott Hotels, particularly within the JW Marriott brand, transcends the traditional responsibilities of mixing drinks. This position is about crafting a memorable and unique experience that reflects the brand's commitment to "Wonderful Hospitality. Always." Bartenders at Marriott are not simply beverage enthusiasts; they are the hosts of the space, integral to creating a welcoming atmosphere. They continuously seek to stay ahead of trends, including exploring micro-local offerings and adapting to guests' evolving preferences. Their duties extend beyond making drinks to include the flawless function and appearance of the bar, ensuring that every detail from financial transactions to guest information is handled with precision and care.

Bartenders at Marriott are expected to build strong relationships not only with guests but also with colleagues across the hotel and within the local community, anticipating and fulfilling the needs of patrons to elevate the overall guest experience. The role demands a high level of passion for guest service, a keen eye for detail, and a hands-on approach that includes being physically active for extended periods, managing tasks that involve lifting, carrying, and moving objects up to 25 pounds, and performing various movements such as bending and twisting. This dynamic and multifaceted position is vital to the hotel's operations and reputation, demanding professionalism, adherence to company policies, and a commitment to safety and confidentiality.

Working as a Bartender within Marriott is a unique career opportunity that offers not just employment but a place to belong and grow. The role does not require supervisory experience but values at least one year of related work experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. Marriott International prides itself on being an equal opportunity employer, fostering an inclusive workplace where diversity is celebrated and every associate can thrive without discrimination. Joining Marriott Hotels means becoming part of a global team dedicated to excellence in hospitality and personal development, where every employee can become the best version of themselves while contributing to the brand's legacy of outstanding service and innovation.
