We are currently seeking a Lifestyle & Communications Coordinator to join the team at Carolina Oaks. This is an onsite position offering a competitive hourly wage of $20 to $22, based on experience, skills, and qualifications, along with a comprehensive benefits package and 16 paid holidays. In this role, you will play a vital part in creating experiences that make Carolina Oaks feel like home. Your responsibilities will include coordinating events, supporting resident communications, welcoming new neighbors, and helping residents stay connected. The Lifestyle & Communications Coordinator will assist in planning and executing a wide range of community events, activities, clubs, and lifestyle programs. You will support signature events, social gatherings, volunteer initiatives, and resident-led groups, maintaining event calendars, registration systems, and activity schedules. Your work will contribute to creating engaging experiences that promote participation and foster deeper connections among residents.
Additionally, this position involves delivering exceptional resident experiences through a hospitality-forward approach that reflects the warmth and authenticity of the Lowcountry. You will serve as a welcoming resource for residents, guests, and stakeholders, help resolve concerns with care and professionalism, and promote community amenities and engagement opportunities.
Supporting communications and community outreach is another key part of the job. This includes assisting with the creation and distribution of newsletters, announcements, and promotional materials, maintaining community calendars and informational platforms, and supporting website updates and digital communications. You will ensure that residents stay informed, engaged, and connected to community life.
Beyond events and communications, you will also support community operations by maintaining records, reports, and cloud-based files, assisting with administrative projects and budgeting, coordinating schedules, and collaborating with leadership and team members to continually improve programs and engagement strategies.
Finally, fostering strong community connections is essential. You will build relationships with residents, volunteers, community partners, and stakeholders, encourage involvement, support volunteer leadership, and help cultivate an environment where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and connected. This role requires a positive, energetic approach and a commitment to collaboration, authenticity, and balance.

Job Requirements
- This is an onsite position located in Bluffton, South Carolina
- flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays, as needed to support community events and programs
- valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
- ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods during events and community activities
Job Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in events, hospitality, recreation, communications, marketing, customer service, community engagement, lifestyle programming, or a related field
- outstanding communication and relationship-building skills
- strong organizational, project coordination, and time management abilities
- experience planning or supporting events, programs, volunteer initiatives, resident engagement activities, or community communications preferred
- ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
- positive, energetic, and customer-focused approach to serving residents and stakeholders
- proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn new technology platforms
- ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members and community partners
- experience serving active adult, lifestyle, golf, resort, waterfront, hospitality, or master-planned communities is highly valued
- bachelor's degree in hospitality, event management, communications, recreation, marketing, public relations, or a related field preferred
