Job Description

Glacier Hills in Ann Arbor, Michigan, is a vibrant community and a proud member of Trinity Health Senior Communities (THSC). THSC stands as one of the nation's largest multi-institutional Catholic health care delivery systems, managing over 40 communities across multiple states. Glacier Hills thrives under this expansive network, proudly providing a resident-centric environment where quality of life, wellness, and community engagement are at the forefront. With a commitment to holistic care and spiritual support, Glacier Hills serves as a beacon for seniors seeking a compassionate and enriching living experience that encourages independence, socialization, and personal growth.

At Glacier Hills, the role of Life Enrichment Coordinator (Community Life) carries significant importance. This full-time, day shift position is designed for an individual passionate about enhancing the lives of seniors through thoughtfully crafted programs and activities. Reporting to the Administrator or designated supervisor, the Life Enrichment Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, implementing, and evaluating a wide variety of activities that cater specifically to the interests and functional abilities of residents. This role intricately blends creativity, leadership, and interpersonal skills in a dynamic healthcare setting.

The Life Enrichment Coordinator works to foster an engaging, joyous atmosphere through physical, mental, and psychosocial activities. These may include exercise and fitness classes, arts and crafts such as rock painting and decoration contests, cooking demonstrations, outdoor concerts, and themed festive events like car parades or mask tie-dyeing sessions. The objective is to enrich residents’ lives beyond basic care, supporting their emotional and social well-being as well as cognitive stimulation. The Life Enrichment Coordinator also partners closely with volunteers to broaden opportunities for meaningful resident engagement and fun.

Beyond organizing activities, this role entails resource management to ensure each program is delivered effectively and economically while maintaining high standards. The position demands a self-starter attitude, creativity, and a high-energy approach, all necessary to meet the diverse needs of residents and to keep up with the vibrant pace of community life. This role offers a chance to impact senior living positively and directly, contributing to celebrations, socialization, and the overall culture of joy at Glacier Hills.

The community prides itself on a colleague-centric culture that supports career growth within the greater Trinity Health network. Employees benefit from a supportive work environment that values diversity, inclusivity, and professional development. Working here means being part of a dedicated team delivered by shared values and a commitment to compassionate, person-centered care. Join Glacier Hills as a Life Enrichment Coordinator and play a vital role in creating inspiring experiences that make an everyday difference in the lives of seniors in the Ann Arbor region.
