Job Description

Touchmark at Emerald Lake is a distinguished assisted living community known for its commitment to excellence, teamwork, hospitality, integrity, and compassion, collectively encapsulated in the acronym ETHIC. The establishment is dedicated to continually enriching the daily lives of its residents by embodying these principles in every interaction and service, from caregiving to maintaining the community environment. Touchmark prides itself on fostering a supportive, warm, and inviting atmosphere where residents feel valued, respected, and cared for in every aspect of their lives. As an organization, Touchmark emphasizes a culture of allyship, friendship, and giving, which permeates all levels of staff responsibilities and resident engagements.

Touchmark at Emerald Lake is currently seeking a creative and compassionate individual to join its team as a Life Enrichment/Activities Coordinator for its Assisted Living program. This role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact by carefully planning, developing, and implementing a diverse range of activities tailored to meet the physical, cognitive, social, and spiritual needs of the assisted living residents. The Life Enrichment Coordinator will be entrusted with the responsibility to create a vibrant, engaging environment that supports the overall well-being and quality of life of the residents. Through various programs including holiday celebrations, social events, community outings, and exercise programs, the coordinator will foster a sense of community and enhance the daily experiences of all participants.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of one year of experience working in senior living settings and demonstrate a thorough understanding of social and recreational activities designed for assisted living residents. The candidate must be able to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to arrange and support activities both on and off the campus, ensuring a variety of enriching experiences. A genuine passion for caring for elderly residents and a commitment to confidentiality and professionalism when dealing with sensitive resident information is paramount. The role demands patience, tact, and composure when interacting with residents, family members, staff, and visitors, underscoring the importance of empathy and respectful communication.

Touchmark offers a competitive compensation and benefits package for employees working 30 or more hours per week, which includes paid time off with holiday coverage, comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance plans for both employees and eligible dependents, education assistance, and bonus and retirement plans. Flexible spending accounts for health care, dependent care, and commuter expenses provide additional financial benefits. The innovative On-Demand Pay feature allows employees to access their earned wages as they earn, and there is also an Employee Assistance Program and supplemental insurance options that underline the company’s dedication to employee well-being and support.

This role is a perfect fit for individuals whose personal values resonate with Touchmark’s core ETHIC principles and who strive to lead by example through safety, compassion, and empathy. The Life Enrichment/Activities Coordinator role not only serves the residents but also contributes to the overall mission of Touchmark by promoting an enriching, joyful, and respectful living community. Candidates eager to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors within a supportive and progressive organization are encouraged to apply and join a growing community dedicated to excellence in assisted living care.
