The Life Enrichment Coordinator role at The Delaney at Lake Waco is a full-time position that plays a crucial part in enhancing the lives of senior residents by planning, scheduling, and implementing meaningful activities tailored to their unique interests and needs. The coordinator ensures that residents have access to a variety of activities that promote their physical, mental, and social well-being, ranging from group educational opportunities to recreational events tailored for those with varying levels of mobility and cognitive abilities.

As a Life Enrichment Coordinator, you will work closely with the Director of Life Enrichment to create a comprehensive monthly activity calendar that reflects the diverse preferences of the community’s residents. You will act as a Move-In Liaison, providing new residents with a friendly, comforting welcome and helping them transition smoothly into their new home environment. Your duties will also include fostering a healthy community culture, facilitating resident integration, and coordinating transportation to and from activities using community vehicles such as vans or buses.

This role offers a dynamic work schedule from Thursday through Monday and a competitive starting salary of $16 per hour. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED required
  • six months experience working with seniors in activities or life enrichment preferred

Job Duties

  • assist the Director of Life Enrichment with planning scheduling and coordinating all resident activities including special events following the Life Enrichment program on a monthly basis
  • act as a Move-In Liaison to welcome new residents into the community and support a positive transition into assisted living
  • build relationships with residents and families upon arrival introduce residents to community programs and social opportunities facilitate resident integration and engagement help create a warm comfortable and connected environment during the adjustment period
  • promote a healthy community culture for all residents and employees
  • provide individual and group educational opportunities for residents and staff in the area of disease prevention and management in the holistic spirit of the Lifestyle and Health Services Wellness Program
  • lead daily resident activities per our Community standards
  • drive van bus or automobile on regular schedule to meet resident needs
  • assist Director of Life Enrichment or Life Enrichment Coordinator in assisting residents on and off bus van tracking attendance and coordinating equipment walkers wheelchairs canes etc
  • assist with preparing and distributing monthly calendars according to the Community standards
  • plan and execute diverse and engaging programs to meet the needs of a diverse resident population including newly retired seniors seeking a carefree lifestyle seniors in need of physical assistance and seniors in varying stages of memory loss
