Job Description
Christian Living Communities | Cappella Living Solutions is a well-established provider dedicated to offering comprehensive senior living experiences through vibrant and supportive communities. Focused on enhancing the quality of life for older adults, the organization operates with compassion and innovation, ensuring that every resident feels a true sense of belonging within a warm and welcoming environment. This company is recognized for its commitment to creating meaningful engagement opportunities for residents, family members, and the community at large. With a strong foundation in faith-based values and professional care standards, Christian Living Communities excels in providing Independent Living, assisted living, and memory care services designed to promote well-being and personal growth.
The Community Life Assistant role at Christian Living Communities serves a pivotal function in supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of life enrichment programs primarily aimed at Independent Living residents. This position involves a dynamic work schedule from Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, inclusive of occasional evening or weekend duties such as driving excursions. The assistant plays a crucial role in facilitating activities that enhance the creative, physical, spiritual, social, and mental well-being of residents. By building strong, positive relationships with residents, volunteers, entertainers, and other staff, this role encourages a vibrant community atmosphere and fosters meaningful connections among participants.
Operating within a fast-paced Independent Living environment, the Community Life Assistant is entrusted with a variety of responsibilities. These include supporting group and one-on-one activities tailored to resident interests, assisting with administrative tasks such as scheduling, reporting, and clerical duties, and coordinating small group activities to maximize resident engagement. In addition, the position requires the ability to safely drive residents on scenic drives and outings, thereby enhancing their experience within and beyond the community.
Key duties also encompass inventory management of supplies and equipment, participation in committee work, and occasional leadership responsibilities where the assistant may act as the Director in their absence. This role demands strong organizational skills and multitasking abilities, alongside creativity, flexibility, and attention to detail. Proficiency in computer applications, including word processing and research, complements the role’s demands for excellent communication skills and a positive, service-oriented attitude when interacting with older adults and community partners.
Christian Living Communities offers a rewarding work environment with a comprehensive benefits package, including health coverage, health savings accounts, retirement plans with matching contributions, and dental, vision, disability, and life insurance. The company also emphasizes paid time off to support work-life balance. Applicants should possess a High School Diploma or GED, preferably with coursework in activity professions, and have 1-2 years of experience in recreational programming. A Colorado driver’s license in good standing is required to fulfill driving responsibilities. Physical requirements include the ability to handle moderate lifting occasionally and maintain mobility throughout the workday.
Joining Christian Living Communities means becoming part of a collaborative team dedicated to supporting vibrant independent lifestyles for seniors. The organization fosters an inclusive culture where diversity is valued and accommodates interview candidates with necessary arrangements. Prospective employees should review the predetermined salary range and submit their applications promptly, as high volumes may close the posting early. Confidentiality and equal employment opportunity standards are upheld rigorously throughout the recruitment process.
