Job Description
Legend Senior Living is a reputable family-owned organization with over 30 years of experience in providing exceptional senior living communities. With multiple properties expanding annually, the company has earned prestigious recognitions including being a certified Great Place To Work for seven consecutive years as voted by associates, the Best of Senior Living Award, and accolades for Innovative Programming in Senior Living. The company prides itself on creating an elegant community atmosphere where residents are surrounded by the highest standards of service quality, environmental care, and holistic wellness. Core to its mission is fostering a vibrant environment enriched by Gold Leaf Dining standards and a dynamic Life Enrichment program designed to enhance residents' physical, social, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
The Life Enrichment (Activities) Coordinator role is integral to sustaining and enhancing this vibrant community life. This opportunity invites dedicated individuals to lead the Life Enrichment team with creativity and passion while making a genuine difference in the residents' lives. The coordinator will oversee the development and execution of a comprehensive activity program that engages the mind, body, and spirit of residents. The position requires crafting a monthly calendar filled with diverse activities tailored to meet individual resident preferences and needs, coordinating volunteer participation, and ensuring adherence to state, federal, and company regulations.
Responsibilities include training and supervising staff involved in life enrichment programs, managing transportation for residents during outings—including driving company vehicles or buses—and maintaining the budget and supplies to support successful programming. The coordinator will also play a role in capturing and sharing photos and videos of activities through authorized social media and publication platforms, contributing to community events alongside the Sales Director, and designing physical layouts and decorations that meet company standards.
This position demands flexibility with schedules that may include weekend work and necessitates a valid driver's license and a clean driving record compliant with company insurance policies. The role offers employees a supportive work environment emphasizing associate growth, with continuing education opportunities, an employee assistance program, and various employee benefits designed to foster a supportive and engaging workplace. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage for eligible associates, a company-paid life insurance policy, voluntary benefits such as hospital indemnity and critical illness insurance, a 401(k) program with a discretionary company match, competitive paid time off, holiday pay, a discretionary scholarship program, and annual performance evaluations and raises.
Joining Legend Senior Living as a Life Enrichment (Activities) Coordinator means becoming part of a dedicated team striving to maximize the potential of every life touched, delivering exceptional care and joyful experiences in a warm and welcoming environment. This is a rewarding role for someone passionate about enriching the lives of seniors through thoughtful and engaging programs, inclusive teamwork, and unwavering commitment to quality and compassion.
