The LifeCafe Supervisor plays a pivotal role within the Life Time organization. This full-time hourly position offers competitive wages starting at $20.25 per hour and can go up to $24.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications. The supervisor is entrusted with overseeing the daily shift operations in the LifeCafe, ensuring that every member and guest receives a high-quality dining experience. This role requires leadership, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to managing staff and operations. The LifeCafe Supervisor is responsible for motivating the team to provide exceptional customer service while maintaining food quality and service speed. Acting as the daily shift leader, this individual manages schedules based on traffic flow and addresses member concerns promptly and efficiently.

In addition to managing the shift, the LifeCafe Supervisor also takes on light food preparation tasks and supports the broader goals of the LifeCafe by ensuring menu items are prepared correctly and customers are served professionally. The role calls for a hands-on leader who not only manages but also actively engages with team members to foster a positive and productive work environment. This position requires night and weekend availability due to the nature of the business, reinforcing the need for flexibility and dedication. Overall, the LifeCafe Supervisor is integral to maintaining the high standards of Life Time's dining services, contributing to member satisfaction and organizational success.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • CPR/AED certification required within the first 30 days of hire
  • ServeSafe certification with the first 60 days of hire
  • ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift more than 20 lbs
  • ability to work in a stationery position and move about the cafe for prolonged periods of time
  • night and weekend availability is required based on the business needs

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • CPR/AED certification required within the first 30 days of hire
  • ServeSafe certification with the first 60 days of hire
  • 1-2 years of supervisor or manager experience with a food service or retail background in a high volume atmosphere

Job Duties

  • Manages Lifecafe shift operations while making schedule adjustments based on traffic flow
  • acts as daily shift leader by providing a high level of customer and team support
  • ensures team members prepare menu items correctly and service customers in a professional manner
  • provides promotion and disciplinary recommendations to the manager
  • manages light food prep responsibilities
  • quickly and efficiently responds to member questions, comments, and concerns
