Job Description

Headway is a prominent healthcare technology company dedicated to improving access to mental health services by simplifying the process for licensed professionals to accept insurance. Founded with the mission to break down barriers between therapists and clients, Headway operates an innovative platform designed to support mental health providers in expanding their practices with ease. As a technological enabler for mental health practitioners, Headway offers credentialing services, billing management, compliance resources, and practice management tools, all aimed at fostering more inclusive care environments. With a user base that includes over 50,000 providers nationwide, Headway has established itself as a trusted partner for mental health counselors looking to grow and sustain their private practices. The company’s approach combines technology and industry expertise to ensure providers can focus on delivering quality care while Headway handles administrative burdens. This employment opportunity is for a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), offering a wage of up to $115 per hour. The position is designed for licensed counselors seeking to launch or grow their private practice by integrating insurance-based client services through Headway’s seamless platform.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor working with Headway, you will benefit from a streamlined credentialing process that enables you to start accepting insurance clients across multiple states efficiently and stress-free. This role is ideal for counselors at the Master’s level or above, holding valid licensure such as LPC, LPCC, LCPC, LCPCS, or LPCC-S, along with an active NPI number and malpractice insurance. Your expertise will allow you to reach a wider client base by participating in insurance networks including Medicare Advantage and Medicaid plans. Headway provides built-in compliance support including auditing resources and ongoing education to ensure your practice meets regulatory standards from day one. Practitioners enjoy dependable bi-weekly payments, higher reimbursement rates through top insurance providers, and the convenience of an integrated electronic health record system featuring real-time scheduling, secure messaging, documentation templates, and clinical assessments.

The platform also supports your professional growth by offering free continuing education courses via Headway Academy, helping you earn CEUs towards licensure renewal. This role empowers you to focus on clinical care while Headway enhances your administrative efficiency and financial stability. Additionally, Headway facilitates improved client experiences by enabling instant insurance verification and increasing access to affordable care. Note that at this time, Headway requires applicants to have full licensure; those without complete licensure cannot be supported by the platform but are encouraged to reapply once fully licensed. This opportunity offers flexible, independent practice growth and the chance to provide critical mental health services with the backing of a robust national network and innovative technology. Join Headway as an LPC to expand your private practice, enhance your earnings, and make meaningful impact in mental health care through insurance coverage.
