The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position at Arden Courts is a pivotal role responsible for administering prescribed medications and treatments to residents while maintaining accurate work records. The LPN ensures that residents’ needs are met according to professional nursing standards by following physician orders, facility policies and procedures, as well as federal, state, and local regulations. This role requires a compassionate, detail-oriented nurse who understands the complexities of gerontological and dementia care. The ideal candidate will contribute to the team by monitoring residents’ health status, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring a safe, therapeutic environment.

Job Requirements
- Current active LPN license in state of practice
- Experience in gerontological nursing including dementia population preferred
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods
- Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted frequently
- Full use of hands, arms, and legs for medication administration and writing
- Ability to read thermometers, charts, and testing equipment
Job Qualifications
- Current active LPN license in state of practice
- Experience in gerontological nursing preferred
- Knowledge of dementia patient care
- Basic reading and writing skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
Job Duties
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments to residents
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date work records
- Ensure compliance with professional standards, physician orders, and facility policies
- Monitor and assess resident health status regularly
