The role of Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Cottage Grove Place is pivotal in delivering direct nursing care and coordinating with support staff to ensure the best outcomes for residents. This position is available in several shifts including part-time 1st shift (6:00am-2:30pm) and both part-time and full-time 2nd shift options with weekend hours available, offering flexibility to fit varied schedules. The LPN is responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), supporting family and social activities, and promoting the independence of each resident. A critical part of the role involves identifying any medical or behavioral changes in residents, developing and continually monitoring care plans, and reassessing residents to ensure their evolving needs are met effectively. The LPN works closely under the direction of the Director of Nursing, providing daily reports on community conditions, resident health, personnel performance, and required nursing supplies.

In this capacity, the LPN administers nursing care as ordered by physicians adhering to recognized nursing practices, established standards, and administrative policies. The role extends to ensuring residents receive preventative, therapeutic, and rehabilitative services, along with coordinating care efforts across various disciplines to maintain comprehensive resident wellness.
