Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Vermont Nursing Assistant license
  • Previous experience in homecare or facility care preferred but not required
  • Ability to communicate clearly and comfortably with elderly, ill, or incapacitated clients
  • Strong observation and reporting skills
  • Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently
  • Willingness to work daytime shifts from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Vermont Nursing Assistant license
  • Previous experience in homecare or facility care preferred but not required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to observe and report client conditions accurately
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure

Job Duties

  • Provide compassionate care to clients in their homes or at the Respite House
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans
  • Observe and report changes in clients’ physical and emotional well-being
  • Communicate effectively with clients and their families to teach and explain basic care skills
  • Respond calmly and efficiently to emergency situations
  • Support clients’ individuality and choices through non-judgmental care
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided
