Job Description

Headway is a dynamic healthcare technology company dedicated to transforming the mental health care landscape by facilitating greater access to affordable and insurance-covered therapy for clients across the United States. As a forward-thinking platform, Headway connects licensed mental health therapists with insurance networks, enabling providers to accept insurance payments easily and grow their private practices. Specialized in bridging the gap between therapists and clients, Headway supports more than 50,000 mental health professionals nationwide, helping them streamline insurance credentialing processes, expand their client base, and increase earnings through competitive reimbursement rates. The company prides itself on offering a seamless, technology-driven experience that combines provider compliance, client affordability, and administrative efficiency all in one place.

Headway is currently seeking Licensed Mental Health Therapists (LMHTs) to join their innovative platform. This role is ideal for fully-licensed therapists holding a Master’s degree or above with licensure credentials such as LMHC, LPCMH, LIMHP, LMFT, LMFTS, LCMFT, LPC, LPCC, LCPC, LCPCS, LPCC-S, LCSW, LICSW, or LCSCW, depending on state regulations. Therapists must also have a valid National Provider Identifier (NPI) number and malpractice insurance to participate. The position offers a flexible opportunity for mental health professionals looking to launch or expand their private practices through insurance acceptance. With a wage of up to $112 per hour, providers can significantly enhance their income potential while maintaining autonomy over their practice. Headway facilitates credentialing in multiple states at no additional cost, enabling therapists to begin seeing covered clients in as little as 30 days.

The role focuses on utilizing Headway’s robust platform designed to manage scheduling, secure client communications, documentation, and assessments, all integrated within an Electronic Health Records (EHR) system. This centralized management reduces administrative burden, allowing therapists to focus on delivering quality care. Additional benefits include ongoing compliance support to meet insurance and regulatory standards, free continuing education through Headway Academy to help therapists maintain licensure and professional growth, and dependable bi-weekly payments guaranteeing financial stability. Therapists also gain access to a wide range of insurance plans, including Medicare Advantage and Medicaid, ensuring expanded client coverage and diverse revenue streams.

Beyond supporting providers, Headway prioritizes client access by simplifying insurance verification processes and ensuring affordable mental health services are accessible to those in need. The platform’s commitment to reducing barriers aligns with the growing demand for mental health care, making it a pivotal resource for therapists aspiring to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives while optimizing their practice's operational and financial aspects.
