Job Description

Headway is a cutting-edge health technology company dedicated to transforming the mental health industry by supporting licensed mental health therapists with streamlined administrative, insurance, and billing processes. As a tech-driven platform, Headway empowers therapists to build and grow their private practices efficiently while eliminating the common challenges associated with insurance claims and credentialing. This company caters to solo providers, small group practices, and telehealth professionals nationwide, offering an innovative all-in-one solution that integrates insurance credentialing, compliance, electronic health records (EHR), secure communication, and automated billing. Headway is committed to providing therapists with flexible schedules, higher reimbursement rates, and a predictable income to support their professional growth and work-life balance.

The Licensed Mental Health Therapist role with Headway offers an exceptional opportunity for professionals licensed at the Master’s level or above to elevate their career by joining a platform that provides unmatched administrative support and client referral benefits. Therapists can opt to provide care through telehealth, in-person sessions, or a combination of both, offering unparalleled flexibility tailored to their preferences. This part-time or full-time remote role ensures hourly pay of up to $117, giving licensed clinicians control over their schedule and income. Headway guarantees bi-weekly payments so therapists receive consistent, predictable income while they focus on providing exceptional care. What makes this role truly unique is Headway’s dedication to handling the insurance credentialing process for therapists across multiple states, simplifying the traditionally complex and time-consuming task.

Therapists benefit from access to a broad insurance network that includes major plans, Medicare Advantage, and Medicaid, enabling them to reach a wider client base with streamlined insurance reimbursements. The role is ideal for therapists seeking to build or grow their private practice without the administrative headaches of dealing with insurance providers directly. In addition to these operational benefits, therapists receive clinical and administrative support, free continuing education through Headway Academy, and potential bonuses, including referral perks. Headway’s all-in-one EHR platform supports scheduling, documentation, assessments, telehealth, and billing, directly enhancing therapists’ efficiency and enabling them to spend more time on patient care.

To succeed in this role, therapists must be fully licensed with recognized credentials such as LMHC, LPC, LPCC, LCPC, LCSW, LICSW, LMFT, or PsyD (subject to state regulations). They must hold an active NPI number and malpractice insurance. Headway’s ongoing compliance resources and audit support ensure therapists operate within regulatory frameworks while providing top-quality care. This position offers a combination of flexibility, security, and professional growth, making it perfectly suited for mental health therapists seeking to expand their practice with the support of a technologically advanced platform.
