Job Description

Headway is a pioneering technology-driven company dedicated to transforming mental health care accessibility by helping licensed mental health therapists start or expand their private practices with ease. As a platform, Headway facilitates mental health professionals in accepting insurance, thus making mental health services more affordable and accessible to clients who might otherwise struggle with out-of-pocket costs. By reducing administrative burdens such as credentialing with insurance providers, managing compliance, and streamlining billing, Headway empowers therapists to focus on providing quality care while growing their practice sustainably.

Headway serves a vast network of over 50,000 mental health providers, supporting them with tools and resources to increase their earnings through higher insurance reimbursement rates while enabling timely acceptance of covered clients. This platform offers a stress-free credentialing process across multiple states usually within 30 days, ensuring practitioners can begin seeing insured clients sooner. Comprehensive compliance support, real-time practice management tools, and ongoing continuing education opportunities build long-term career growth for licensed mental health therapists.

The Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LMHT) role at Headway is ideal for mental health professionals holding a license at the master’s level or above, including but not limited to LMHC, LPCMH, LIMHP, LMFT, LMFTS, LCMFT, LPC, LPCC, LCPC, LCPCS, LPCC-S, LCSW, LICSW, or LCSCW, depending on the state. Applicants must have a valid National Provider Identifier (NPI) number and malpractice insurance to join Headway's network.

As an LMHT with Headway, you will benefit from integrating into a nationwide insurance network that includes popular plans like Medicare Advantage and Medicaid. The platform not only boosts your visibility among insured clients but also ensures dependable income with bi-weekly payments. Headway’s built-in Electronic Health Record (EHR) system offers seamless practice management from appointment scheduling and secure messaging to end-to-end documentation templates and assessments, helping you stay organized and compliant with regulatory requirements.

Moreover, Headway offers complimentary continuing education through its Headway Academy, enabling therapists to earn continuing education units (CEUs) while advancing their professional skills. These features, combined with Headway’s commitment to increasing mental health care accessibility, position this role as a valuable opportunity for mental health professionals keen on expanding their practice, boosting their income, and delivering life-changing care to those in need. The compensation for this position is competitive, with wages up to $108 per hour, reflecting the high value placed on licensed mental health therapists in this network. Joining Headway means becoming part of a forward-thinking company dedicated to advancing mental health care and supporting practitioners every step of the way.
