Job Description
Headway is a leading healthcare technology company dedicated to simplifying the process for mental health providers to accept insurance and expand their private practices. With the growing demand for accessible and affordable mental health services, Headway offers a seamless and innovative platform aimed at empowering licensed mental health therapists to increase their earnings and reach more clients by becoming in-network with various insurance plans. The company’s mission is to break down the barriers between therapists and clients who need care, ensuring mental health support is accessible to all by helping providers accept insurance effortlessly.
Headway serves a diverse community of over 50,000 providers nationwide, offering credentialing services, built-in compliance tools, expansive insurance coverage options, and a comprehensive set of electronic health records (EHR) features. This platform is designed to reduce administrative burdens so therapists can focus on delivering exceptional care. Whether you are launching a new private practice or looking to grow your existing one, Headway supports you through each stage of the process. Providers can get credentialed in multiple states in as little as 30 days, working with insurance plans that most clients use, including Medicare Advantage and Medicaid.
The Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LMHT) role at Headway is designed for fully licensed professionals holding master’s-level degrees or higher with recognized licensure such as LMHC, LPCMH, LIMHP, LMFT, LCSW, and others, depending on state regulations. Candidates must have a valid National Provider Identifier (NPI) number and malpractice insurance. The position offers an attractive wage of up to $108 per hour, reflecting the value and expertise these professionals bring.
This role provides an opportunity to seamlessly transition into or scale your private practice by taking insurance without the typical stress and delay commonly associated with credentialing and insurance billing. Headway’s platform integrates real-time scheduling, secure client messaging, thorough documentation templates, built-in assessments, and compliance support, simplifying the operational side of mental health care. Providers also benefit from dependable bi-weekly payments, ensuring financial stability and predictable cash flow.
Beyond administrative support, Headway invests in the long-term success of its therapists by offering free continuing education through Headway Academy, allowing professionals to earn continuing education units (CEUs) and enhance their clinical skills. The company’s commitment to client care means therapists help expand access to quality mental health services, with instant insurance verification available for clients to reduce disruptions and improve treatment continuity.
Overall, this role is ideal for therapists who are passionate about mental health and want to leverage technology and insurance networks to maximize their reach and impact. If you are ready to join a dynamic and supportive environment that prioritizes your professional growth and the well-being of your clients, becoming a Licensed Mental Health Therapist with Headway will provide the resources, support, and income potential to take your career to the next level.
