Job Description
Headway is a leading mental health platform dedicated to transforming the mental health landscape by making therapy accessible through insurance. It operates as a technology-driven company that supports licensed mental health providers in launching and growing their practices by simplifying the insurance acceptance process. With over 50,000 providers currently using Headway’s platform, it offers a seamless way to take insurance with no upfront cost, allowing professionals to connect with clients who might otherwise be unable to afford care. Headway is committed to improving lives by making mental health treatment more accessible, affordable, and convenient through an extensive insurance network including Medicare Advantage and Medicaid.
The role of Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) at Headway is designed for mental health professionals ready to either start or expand their private practice by leveraging an easy-to-use platform that facilitates insurance credentialing and client management. Providers joining Headway gain access to a supportive environment that accelerates their ability to accept insurance, secure higher reimbursement rates, and increase their earnings. The platform provides built-in Electronic Health Record (EHR) features, such as real-time scheduling, secure client messaging, comprehensive documentation templates, and assessments, streamlining daily operations and enhancing provider efficiency. Additionally, Headway offers free continuing education opportunities through Headway Academy, enabling counselors to maintain licensure requirements and pursue long-term professional growth.
This employment opportunity is ideal for licensed mental health counselors holding a Master’s degree or higher with valid licensure such as LMHC, LPCMH, or LIMHP, and who possess a National Provider Identifier (NPI) number along with malpractice insurance. The role emphasizes a flexible, no-commitment engagement that helps providers focus on delivering quality care while Headway handles the complexities of insurance credentialing and administrative logistics. With competitive compensation of up to $110.17 per hour, this position offers a lucrative pathway to grow a thriving practice backed by dependable, bi-weekly payments and nationwide insurance plan coverage. Providers benefit from a stress-free credentialing process taking as little as 30 days and ongoing compliance support with audit assistance.
At Headway, mental health professionals find a partner dedicated to their success and the wellbeing of their clients. By joining the network, providers contribute to reducing barriers to care, improving mental health outcomes in communities across many states, and participating in a transformative movement that prioritizes accessibility and affordability in behavioral health services. This role is perfect for motivated counselors who are passionate about expanding their reach, increasing their income, and delivering high-quality care through a platform that respects their expertise and supports their growth every step of the way.
