Job Description
Headway is a leading mental health platform dedicated to connecting licensed therapists with clients who need accessible, affordable care. Focused on facilitating a seamless transition for mental health providers into insurance networks, Headway empowers therapists to expand or launch their private practices efficiently. By offering a streamlined credentialing process, compliance support, and robust practice management tools, Headway ensures that providers can focus more on client care and less on administrative hurdles. This platform supports therapists across multiple states, providing access to a nationwide insurance network that includes Medicare Advantage and Medicaid, helping providers secure higher rates and dependable payments with bi-weekly stability.
The role of the Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) at Headway is designed for those ready to either start or grow their private practice by accepting insurance. This position offers a competitive wage of up to $121 per hour, reflecting the platform's commitment to valuing therapists' expertise. Therapists joining Headway benefit from free credentialing services that can be completed in as little as 30 days, allowing them to see covered clients sooner and expand their client base without the usual delays and complications of insurance enrollment.
As an LMFT on the Headway platform, you will have access to built-in electronic health record (EHR) features including real-time scheduling, secure messaging, clinical documentation templates, and built-in assessments. Additionally, Headway provides free continuing education through Headway Academy, enabling you to nurture your professional development and earn continuing education units (CEUs). Headway's comprehensive support includes audit assistance to maintain compliance from day one, ensuring your practice is protected and positioned for long-term success.
With Headway, your clients also benefit from increased access to care. Clients can verify their insurance coverage instantly and access therapy services at a price that fits their budget through insurance. This not only opens the door to more clients but also helps those who might otherwise forgo therapy due to cost barriers.
Headway's unique infrastructure makes it easier for LMFTs to focus on what they do best — providing compassionate, high-quality mental health care — while the platform handles credentialing, insurance logistics, and practice management. This opportunity is ideal for licensed therapists looking to grow or establish their private practice with the security of insurance payments and the flexibility of a supportive technology platform.
