Job Description
Headway is a leading platform committed to transforming the mental health landscape by supporting licensed clinical psychologists in expanding and enhancing their private practices. As a dynamic tech-enabled service provider, Headway empowers mental health professionals to accept insurance smoothly, thereby increasing accessibility for clients who need care the most. This innovative company has already assisted more than 50,000 providers across the United States to grow their businesses and deliver vital mental health services to a broader population. Headway’s mission centers on the intersection of care, convenience, and compliance, ensuring clinicians can focus on what they do best — supporting individuals in their journey towards mental wellness.
The role of Licensed Clinical Psychologist at Headway offers a unique opportunity to launch or grow a private practice with the added advantage of streamlined insurance credentialing and management. Psychologists who join Headway can take advantage of a free-to-use platform that eases the traditionally complex process of becoming in-network with multiple insurers. With wage potential of up to $134 per hour, this role is ideal for fully-licensed clinical psychologists holding a Master’s degree or above with recognized licensure such as PSY, PSYP, or PsyD at the state level, a valid NPI number, and malpractice insurance.
Headway supports licensed clinical psychologists by providing credentialing services in multiple states within as little as 30 days, allowing clinicians to start seeing insurance-covered clients with minimal delay. The platform includes built-in compliance tools and ongoing audit support, reducing administrative burdens and mitigating risks. Its broad network encompasses top insurance plans including Medicare Advantage and Medicaid, helping providers increase earnings and build stable practices with dependable bi-weekly payments. The integrated electronic health record (EHR) features enable seamless practice management, including real-time scheduling, secure client messaging, comprehensive documentation templates, and embedded assessments.
Furthering professional development, Headway offers free continuing education through its Headway Academy, where clinicians can earn CEUs and cultivate long-term career growth. For clients, Headway enhances access to mental health care at affordable prices by simplifying insurance verification and coverage confirmation in real time. This customer-centric approach strengthens the overall experience for both providers and patients, ensuring smoother and more efficient care delivery.
Overall, this position at Headway represents more than just a typical clinical psychologist role — it’s an opportunity to leverage an advanced infrastructure designed to expand your clinical reach and financial success while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance. If you are a fully licensed clinical psychologist ready to maximize your impact and grow your practice with confidence, Headway provides the tools, network, and support to help you succeed on your terms.
