Job Description

Headway is a dynamic and innovative platform dedicated to transforming the landscape of mental healthcare by connecting licensed clinical psychologists with insurance networks to expand access to essential psychological services. As a company committed to improving mental health accessibility, Headway empowers psychologists to grow their private practices by seamlessly integrating insurance acceptance, thereby removing financial barriers for clients in need. With a user-friendly setup process, cutting-edge technology, and robust support services, Headway is revolutionizing how mental health providers operate and reach underserved populations. The platform is free to use with no long-term commitments, making it an attractive option for both new and established clinicians. Since its inception, Headway has assisted over 50,000 providers in growing their practices and reaching a diverse range of clients, creating a significant impact in mental health provision nationwide. Headway partners with top insurance plans, including Medicare Advantage and Medicaid, broadening the scope and reach of network providers for increased client access and earnings potential.

This role is ideal for licensed clinical psychologists who are ready to launch or expand their private practice by accepting insurance-based clients. Licensed Clinical Psychologists eligible for this opportunity must hold a master's degree or higher, possess a PSY, PSYP, or PsyD license valid on a state-by-state basis, and have an active NPI number along with malpractice insurance. The position offers a competitive wage of up to $134 per hour, with the added benefits of credentialing in multiple states free of charge and the ability to start seeing covered clients within 30 days. As a Licensed Clinical Psychologist working with Headway, you will enjoy a seamless onboarding experience, access to a nationwide insurance network with higher reimbursement rates, predictable bi-weekly payments, and built-in electronic health record (EHR) features such as real-time scheduling, secure messaging, comprehensive documentation templates, and assessment tools. The role also includes access to free continuing education courses through Headway Academy, which supports your ongoing professional development and helps maintain licensure requirements.

In addition to providing substantial financial and operational support, Headway ensures compliance through audit assistance and continuous educational resources, enabling providers to focus on delivering exceptional care rather than administrative burdens. This role is not just about expanding your practice but contributing to a larger mission to increase mental health care accessibility for diverse populations who might otherwise forgo necessary treatment due to cost or insurance restrictions. Headway's platform also facilitates instant insurance verification for clients, streamlining the intake process and enhancing client satisfaction. Note that the platform requires licensed professionals only; applicants without full clinical licensure are encouraged to reapply upon completing their licensing requirements.
