Job Description
Amazon Leo is a cutting-edge initiative by Amazon focused on deploying a satellite network in low Earth orbit (LEO) to deliver high-speed, affordable broadband connectivity to remote and underserved regions around the world. This ambitious project aims to bridge the digital divide by providing reliable internet access to households, businesses, schools, hospitals, and government agencies that currently lack dependable connectivity. By leveraging a constellation of 3,236 satellites, Amazon Leo strives to create a global network facilitating enhanced communication capabilities for a diverse customer base, thereby empowering communities and organizations in isolated locations. As a part of Amazon, a globally recognized technology giant renowned for innovation and customer obsession, Amazon Leo reflects the company’s commitment to technological advancement and societal impact.
The role in focus is for the Executive Briefing Center (EBC) Coordinator within the LEO Executive Briefing Program, stationed in Redmond, Washington. This full-time position is integral to managing the facility, coordinating logistics, and ensuring seamless operation of the Executive Briefing Center dedicated to hosting primarily executive-level customers of Amazon Leo. The EBC Coordinator’s mission is to craft an exceptional customer experience by overseeing every aspect of briefing execution—from initial request intake to post-event breakdown. Responsibilities include organizing and preparing briefing materials, managing the briefing room setups, and coordinating with various internal teams such as security, IT support, catering, and facilities management.
The coordinator acts as the first point of contact for guests, welcoming them, providing ancillary services like coat and luggage storage, and escorting them to the briefing rooms, thus setting a professional and hospitable tone. They are expected to maintain the briefing center at an impeccable, customer-ready standard at all times. The role demands proficiency in managing multiple assignments simultaneously while adhering to tight schedules, a strong customer service orientation, and the ability to build positive relationships with executive clients and internal staff.
An essential aspect of this position involves extensive collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations across various domains. The coordinator also handles administrative duties, such as maintaining supply inventories, managing vendor relationships for catering and transport services, and compiling weekly operational reports. Furthermore, adherence to operational protocols and regulatory compliance, including export control laws requiring U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency, is mandatory.
Compensation for the position is competitive, with an annual salary range of $80,200 to $97,400 USD, supplemented by sign-on bonuses and restricted stock units (RSUs). Additionally, Amazon offers a comprehensive package of benefits including health, dental, vision insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave. This role represents an exciting opportunity to engage with cutting-edge satellite technology initiatives while contributing to a vital customer-facing program that supports strategic business relationships and expands broadband accessibility worldwide.
