This position is primarily on-site (95%) with a small portion of remote work (5%), requiring excellent adaptability and customer service skills. The Leisure Travel Advisor will be responsible for planning and booking leisure travel, including airfare, hotel accommodations, car rentals, cruises, and vacation packages. The role demands proficiency in the use of Global Distribution Systems (GDS), particularly Sabre or Apollo, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems like ClientBase to manage client profiles and reservations efficiently. The advisor is expected to provide expert recommendations and personalized solutions tailored to each client’s travel needs, ensuring an outstanding customer experience before, during, and after travel.\n\nKey responsibilities include handling complex travel arrangements, managing multiple client requests simultaneously, and resolving changes or cancellations with professionalism. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with a deep knowledge of global travel destinations and geography. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the leisure travel industry and at least 3 years using GDS systems. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent business education is preferred. This role requires the ability to work collaboratively within a team, maintain a favorable company image, support management and staff, and contribute to special projects when needed. Candidates must also possess the ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends when necessary and have lawful work authorization for the United States. Job Requirements
- 5+ years leisure industry experience
- 3+ years GDS Apollo or Sabre experience
