The Sales and Marketing Management position at the Clearwater Beach Sheraton Resort is a pivotal role responsible for driving revenue growth by proactively soliciting new business opportunities. This management role involves overseeing significant customer segments with a focus on maximizing property income through strategic upselling and effective client engagement. The successful candidate will be instrumental in aligning customer profiles with suitable products and services, thereby ensuring optimum satisfaction and repeat business. The role demands an individual capable of meeting personal and team revenue targets while ensuring that business turnovers are handled efficiently and in compliance with brand standards.

In this dynamic position, the manager will develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies aimed at promoting leisure services and products, building solid relationships with various key clients such as travel agencies, tour operators, and other industry partners. The role includes collaborating with marketing and revenue teams to design targeted campaigns and promotions, and performing market analysis to track trends and competitors for continuous strategy refinement. The position reports directly to the Director of Sales and Marketing and Director of Revenue, providing leadership within the sales team and maintaining seamless guest experiences from booking through to their stay.

The role also involves extensive travel to represent the resort at trade shows, networking events, and client activations, which serve to amplify the brand presence and foster long-term loyalty among clientele. Candidates must display strong sales and negotiation skills, a deep understanding of the leisure and hospitality industry, and excellent communication abilities. Strategic thinking, leadership qualities, motivational skills for guiding sales teams, and data analysis capabilities are essential for success. Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools is required to effectively manage relationships and monitor performance metrics.
