Job Description

The hiring firm is a well-established law practice based in San Francisco, known for delivering expert legal services and maintaining a strong commitment to client satisfaction. This reputable law firm operates in a dynamic and fast-paced legal environment, where professionalism and attention to detail are key to success. The firm prides itself on fostering a welcoming yet highly efficient atmosphere where attorneys, paralegals, and supporting staff collaborate to provide outstanding legal support to their clientele. With a focus on both legal excellence and client relations, the firm seeks to enhance its front office operations by hiring a dedicated Legal Receptionist.

This contract-to-hire position offers an excellent opportunity for a professional individual who thrives in a detail-oriented and client-focused setting. As the initial point of contact for attorneys, clients, and visitors, the Legal Receptionist plays a crucial role in representing the firm’s image and ensuring a positive first impression. Coordination, organization, and multitasking are fundamental aspects of the job, along with a strong commitment to confidentiality and adherence to firm policies. The successful candidate will handle a variety of front desk responsibilities such as greeting and assisting visitors, answering and directing phone calls, managing voicemail, and maintaining the reception areas to reflect the firm’s polished image.

Beyond these front desk duties, the Legal Receptionist will assist with scheduling and preparing conference rooms, sorting mail and courier packages, and supporting attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants with miscellaneous administrative requests. This role demands excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as proficiency in standard office software and the ability to perform light document preparation tasks including data entry, scanning, and filing. By ensuring the smooth operation of reception and administrative functions, the Legal Receptionist contributes significantly to the firm’s overall efficiency and client service excellence. This position offers a pathway to permanent employment, making it ideal for candidates seeking career stability within a respected legal institution.
