Job Description

The University of North Texas (UNT) System stands as a vital hub of higher education in the Dallas-Fort Worth region, comprising multiple campuses including UNT Denton, UNT Frisco, UNT Dallas, UNT Dallas College of Law, and UNT Health Fort Worth. As the only university system exclusively located in this vibrant metropolitan area, UNT System serves over 49,000 students with a dedicated workforce of more than 14,000 employees. The system proudly awards nearly 12,000 degrees annually, fostering innovation, educational excellence, and economic opportunity throughout North Texas. The UNT System embodies a people-first, values-driven culture characterized by collaboration, integrity, curiosity, and a commitment to fostering a respectful and inclusive environment. These core values underpin the system's mission to transform lives through education, nurturing talent and leadership in its diverse student body and staff.

Located within this dynamic ecosystem, the University of North Texas at Dallas (UNT Dallas) is distinctive as the only public four-year university situated exclusively within the City of Dallas. Recognized for its rapid growth and excellence, UNT Dallas has garnered high rankings, including the highest rating among North Texas colleges by Money Magazine’s "Best Colleges in America" report. The UNT Dallas School of Business, now a proud member of AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), is on a trajectory of growth and innovation. This development creates a stimulating environment for faculty and students alike, with a strong focus on upward economic mobility and workforce readiness through initiatives like the Classroom to Career program. This program integrates experiential learning—such as internships, service learning, and collaborative projects with industry partners—into students’ academic journeys, equipping graduates with not only disciplinary knowledge but also essential skills such as communication, leadership, adaptability, and teamwork.

The School of Business seeks a dedicated Lecturer of Management specializing in Hospitality Management starting Fall 2026. This full-time, non-tenure-track position involves teaching four courses per semester across various modalities including face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in teaching and service, helping to grow and enhance the hospitality management program while actively supporting student career development. There is a strong emphasis on cultivating meaningful connections between students and industry opportunities, aligning with UNT Dallas’ mission to prepare students for purposeful and career-ready futures. The position also entails participation in service activities such as program and course development, assessments, community engagement, and committee leadership. This role is integral to expanding UNT Dallas’ hospitality management offerings and contributing positively to the school’s culture, university mission, and local community. Applicants should be passionate about teaching and eager to engage with a diverse student body, supporting their academic growth and workforce preparedness. The salary is competitive and commensurate with experience, with full-time employment status (FTE 1.0) and eligibility for the Optional Retirement Program (ORP). UNT Dallas values inclusivity, academic excellence, and community engagement, making this an exciting opportunity for those committed to higher education and hospitality management.
