The role of Leasing Professional at The Harlan by Hines offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to one of the firm's highest growth priorities—Hines Living. As a Leasing Professional, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in marketing and leasing activities, directly impacting the property's occupancy and revenue goals. The position involves engaging with prospective residents through tours, managing leasing documentation, and ensuring the satisfaction and retention of current residents through lease renewals.

The Leasing Professional will be responsible for conducting property tours, performing screenings and lease processing, inspecting apartments before move-ins, and assisting in the development of marketing strategies that sustain occupancy and attract new residents. Utilizing promotional technologies and direct communications with potential prospects, the Leasing Professional helps generate business and supports the overall sales and advertising efforts of the property. This role requires a keen attention to detail to maintain apartment standards and a proactive approach to nurturing relationships with residents to foster long-term satisfaction and residency.

Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
  • prior experience in customer service or sales experience preferred
  • basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • experience with property management software preferred
  • entrada experience a plus
  • work indoors approximately 95 percent of the time and outdoors approximately 5 percent of the time
  • use olfactory, auditory, and visual senses to inspect building and detect emergency alarms
  • on occasion, perform physical inspections of the property which may include climbing up and down stairs or accessing restrictive openings
  • ability to lift up to 25lbs
  • though occurrences are rare, be accessible 24 hours a day in case of an emergency and perform on-site operations management during natural disasters
  • transfer properties and work overtime as business needs deem appropriate
  • ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • conduct property tours to future residents and visitors
  • process documentation such as credit screening, criminal background checks, lease and move in packages and lease signing
  • inspect apartments prior to occupancy and ensure the apartment is in excellent condition prior to move in
  • develop marketing plans with the goal to sustain occupancy as well as staying informed about the current market
  • use and create promotional items and technology to communicate with potential prospects and generate revenue
  • ensure the achievement of the property’s revenue and occupancy goals by directing the marketing, advertising and sales activities as well as ensure the apartments are available for occupancy
  • assist with the lease renewal program and the communication process
  • build relationships with prospective and future residents to ensure satisfaction and finalize decisions to lease and/or renew
