The Leasing Professional role at Tempo at River Park with Hines Living, one of Hines' fastest-growing divisions in North America, offers an exciting opportunity to join a team that creates vibrant living communities and delivers exceptional hospitality-focused experiences. This position involves contributing to the marketing, advertising, and sales initiatives for the property, fostering positive resident relations, and managing lease renewals to sustain optimal occupancy levels. As a Leasing Professional, you will conduct property tours, manage application documentation including credit and background checks, ensure apartments are ready for new residents, and assist in developing marketing strategies that support revenue goals. This role requires strong communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to support on-site operations during emergencies. The position offers an hourly wage between $20 and $21 plus commission, alongside the chance to grow within a company recognized for its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and employee development.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
prior customer service or sales experience preferred
basic to intermediate Microsoft Office knowledge
experience with property management software preferred
strong verbal and written communication skills
physical ability to perform inspections including climbing stairs and lifting up to 25 lbs
availability for emergency on-call and flexible scheduling including weekends and holidays
ability to work indoors 95% of the time and outdoors 5% of the time
ability to work overtime and transfer properties as needed

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
prior experience in customer service or sales experience preferred
basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
experience with property management software preferred
excellent verbal and written communication skills
ability to work indoors approximately 95% of the time and outdoors approximately 5% of the time
use olfactory, auditory, and visual senses to inspect building and detect emergency alarms
ability to perform physical inspections of the property which may include climbing stairs or accessing restrictive openings
ability to lift up to 25 lbs
ability to be accessible 24 hours a day in case of an emergency and perform on-site operations management during natural disasters
ability to transfer properties and work overtime as business needs require
ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

Conduct property tours to future residents and visitors
process documentation such as credit screening, criminal background checks, lease and move-in packages and lease signing
inspect apartments prior to occupancy and ensure the apartment is in excellent condition prior to move in
develop marketing plans with the goal to sustain occupancy as well as staying informed about the current market
use and create promotional items and technology to communicate with potential prospects and generate revenue
ensure the achievement of the property's revenue and occupancy goals by directing the marketing, advertising and sales activities as well as ensuring the apartments are available for occupancy
assist with the lease renewal program and the communication process
build relationships with prospective and future residents to ensure satisfaction and finalize decisions to lease and/or renew
